What are the benefits of green tea? Many of the sites explored discussed that green tea helps fight cancer. It decreases the growth of cancer cells. There must be something to it since the Chinese have been drinking it for thousands of years. I also read that it helps rheumatoid arthritis! My Mom has a little of this and I wonder if it would help her at all? It also can be beneficial for your immune system and cholesterol. This particular kind of tea is better than most due to the way it is processed. The antioxidants help your body fight off diseases and research is suggesting it helps burn off calories (yay for all of us that are trying to lose weight)! As if there were not already many positives to drinking tea it can also prevent tooth decay. There's very little sodium in it (much better for you than diet pop) and less caffeine than coffee. Ideas from About.com, "The Miracle of Green Tea."
