Yesterday was yet another unique day in parenthood. I went to Servati's for lunch with my Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, and Mom. It was nice to see everyone since I'm on spring break. I must say, Servati's has a great salad - it's a create your own with tons of veggies and mixed greens. It was delicious!
I didn't realize so many places don't have changing tables for babies. FJ needed his diaper changed and I had to bring my changing pad into the bathroom and put him on the floor. Disgusting. I didn't bring my diaper bag in the bathroom so it wouldn't get germs. Mistake. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I changed his diaper and tried to put the next one on; he starting peeing mid-air. He hasn't done that in forever! Great, so now the only diaper I had had pee all over it because I had to use the new one to block the shooting pee. Pee was all over the diaper pad. Some got on his outfit. I was irate. Meanwhile, it's all I can do not to run out of this filthy bathroom. In summary, I got his clothes and the diaper pad washed out but I had to put his clothes back on without a diaper and in the corner of the restaurant I had to quickly put a new diaper on. LOL! I probably looked like the most inexperienced mother.
